Personal Dosimetry Service

Genesis Ultra TLD Dosimeter

Responds accurately to beta, gamma, x-ray and neutron radiation. The response of each element is corrected by the application of its own unique element correction factor. The Genesis Ultra TLD dosimeter allows for the reporting of deep, lens of eye and shallow doses.

Due to the increase in signal response and the virtually no fading characteristics of the TL phosphor used, the minimum dose reported is 0.01 mSv compared to the 0.10 mSv typical of other TLD dosimeters.

Features of the Genesis Ultra TLD include:

  • Wearing periods from one week to one year
  • Permanently bar-coded for user identification and tracking
  • Whole-body, wrist and area monitoring configurations
  • Large label fonts and wearing location
  • Enhanced ergonomics with integrated clip
  • Choice of colour

Radiation type (energy) Beta (MAX) (0.766 MeV - 5 MeV)
Photon (5 keV - 6 MeV)
Neutron (Thermal - 6 MeV)

Reporting quantity Personal dose equivalent as defined in ICRU 51 at a depth of 10 mm (deep), 0.07 mm (skin) and 3mm (lens of the eye)

Reporting units Millisieverts (mSv)

Minimum reportable dose 0.01 mSv

Useful dose range 0.01 mSv - 10 Sv
